Glastonbury Lake Village Museum

9 High St, Glastonbury BA6 9DP, UK – 01458 832954

Really well laid out and with some wonderful artifacts. Good for 45 mins. Maybe a little overpriced.

Very mellow atmosphere with all of humanity on display. Had a good meal and drink in the George and Pilgrim. Well worth the visit.

Tor's Tour Of The Tor

5 Albert Buildings, Glastonbury BA6 9JN, UK – 01458 899428

Went on a really delightful day trip to Stonehenge and Avebury with Michael as our guide. He was very knowledgeable and fun. It was so nice to visit these ancient spiritual places alongside a person who understands.

Our choice of an individualized tour with Tor was perfect.WE didn't have a tone of time so personalized & molded the time in Scotland according to our families heritage. The family group was 40 + & 70+ years old ( with some limitation) & he made it work. Then there was the he added in some great pubs. Found lovely B & Bs. Tor was knowledgeable, resourceful, responsible & lots of fun....continually looking out for my husband and I as people..not just clients. Couldn't have asked for more.

Local Parks & Gardens

Glastonbury Tor

Glastonbury BA6 8BG, UK – 01934 844518

It's a magical place.. We visited in October, it's a lovely walk up the tor. As we same down we saw squirrels, rabbits, a hawk only feet away.. It was like stepping into another world. The acoustics in the tor are amazing, as is the view. The town is lovely with amazing old pubs and plenty of interesting shops and places to eat.

Weather always helps but can't not go there when in area. Worth finding back path rather than main tourist path, for different experience. Lovely walk and doable with young kids

Sharpham Park

Street BA16 9SA, UK – 01458 844080

I am wheat intolerant and choose my food with a dowser. Sharpham Park products are the only cereals my body want from the entire selection in Waitrose

Great website!. Click below to find gardens open during the year around Street or Somerset. There are photos and lots of detail about the garden.
