Quite an old syle building. Needs modernisation for a major banking brand. Staff were polite and helpful. Can be hit and miss for quick sevice. It is a small venue just two windows and only one may be open. Parking is difficult nearby. Lots of yellow lines and 20 minute restrictions but this is the fault of the council and not the venue.
3 High St, Glastonbury BA6 9HE, UK – 0800 554 1590
Lovely, brand new space. Friendly staff. Never had to wait too long to be served. And, of course, the good feeling that comes with knowing that I am keeping my money with a building society, not a bank.
Lovely lay out, helpful friendly staff. Relaxed environment.

WARNING ....I have just been reading all the terrible reviews about many companies by James who does not ever say a nice word about any of them. In the five I read he has a hate complex and writes poison pen remarks. With respect James, it is not the dentist you need to see it is a mood councillor or Doctor. I don't know what you are thinking James but you are a very unbalanced person. In the several visits I have made to this Dentist Surgery the service and treatment has been excellent. Perhaps if you ask to speak to the Practice Manager about this you might get satisfaction? I think that your scathing review is both inaccurate on the whole, misleading in general and completely unfair. I really think you should follow up on what you have said and see if there is a reason behind your comments.. You definitely need treatment but not for your teeth. I am 73 BTW and not that easy to please.
They've always been absolutely excellent, and their timekeeping is amazing. I find them very very good. I'm just over 50 and female.

Whet to dentist this morning , first time with this practice and they were amazing, made me very welcome and as I am not a not very good at dentist they made me relax and at ease. I had a tooth removed. Will recommend these 100%
Had a back tooth out and a front one capped. First time ever I have been able to have work done and not feel frightened. Maria was really good and made me feel at ease.

This is not a regular Dental Practice that you can register with. They are a specialist clinic who treat patients who have particular problems. I was referred here by my regular NHS dentist when I needed two extractions, but was on Apixoban at that time (a blood thinning agent he was unfamiliar with). I ended up having a range of treatment here - several fillings, three extractions and subsequent additions to my existing dentures. I can not fault this Dental Clinic in any way. They were friendly, caring and gentle in their treatment and I only wish I could have stayed with them as my regular dentists afterwards!

the stab me with a knife should also put a hairdresser there otherwise good carpark
The reception staff seem to be a little less RUDE than they used to be. Apparently none of them have medical training or qualifications, yet they may still surmise that your ailment or injury is not "serious" enough to see a doctor or even a nurse, then send you off to the minor injuries unit at the local hospital 1.5 miles away.

Interesting stained glass windows. Some Victorian glass details were faded but in the main the colours were quite vibrant. It is especially good to see Christian witness in such an otherwise apparently mainly pagan town - going by the number of shops selling esoteric books, statues, crystals etc!
Large church in centre of Glastonbury with very fine Somerset Tower...typical of the area. Volunteers provide cups of tea etc

Beautiful shrine to Our Lady of Glastonbury. Friendly congregation and a fantastic priest in Father Bede Rowe! 😁
A visit here is a great opportunity to imagine the lifestyle in historical Glastonbury. The guide on site offers an amazingly comprehensive service which left me spellbound as I learnt and imagined how life would have been. There is a small chapel, again you will learn about its history from the guides. I will post a few pics but it is a small and quieter place of solace so it's best to pop in. You should allow around 15/30 minutes to take everything in.

A comprehensive recycling centre, you can now recycle plastic pots they go in with plastic bottles you can lift the flap at one end and tip a large amount in easily. Wish they had a similar arrangement for tetrapaks, although I did fine the hole big enough to shove a big handful of containers through in one go. Garden waste, wood, metal, oil, electrical waste can all be handled. There is also a landfill skip for materials that just can't be recycled. Helpful staff are on hand to assist and to help avoid incorrect sorting. Somerset is leading the way in recycling, we like being green here.
The only tip with a view of the Tor

Best Chinese around, without a doubt. Happily drive 25/30 mins to get a takeaway, despite there being several closer. Friendly service too and never had anything go wrong with orders. 10/10
Great, tasty food. Good takeaway service. Friendly staff.

The Tanyard, Leigh Rd, Street BA16 0HD, UK – 01458 446999
Jabberwocky care for my three children ages range from 1-6. All children are kept engaged in activities and thrive from the care given to them by warm and welcoming staff. The extra activities provided such as tennis, football and forest school made choosing this setting easy. I can highly recommend them.
The outdoor activities that are provided are excellent

Brilliant nursery. Highly recomended. My daughter has gone on to the school from Jumping Johns and my son is currently attending. They both have been so very happy here. The staff are very knowledgeable and highly professional. My son is autistic and the nursery have been incredibly supportive of his needs. In fact they are very supportive of every child and their individual needs. They have extended hours of access for the holidays now with a holiday club for the longer holidays. The holiday club is going due to how many people need the service outside term time, so if you are working discuss this with them. Staff are incredibly approachable and trustworthy. They are more than happy to discuss any concerns of any kind you may have. My children have grown so much since attending. Socially, emotionally, and academically. There is always lots to do and explore and they always feel they have had fun and feel happy.
Both my girls attended Jumping Johns and they both loved it! I can't think of a better place that would have prepare them for their transistion to infants school because they were already there and settled in...

Best school ever, fantastic staff, fantastic sporting and educational opportunities Overall best school I could ever wish for!
Fantastic school I loved it there...a definite suggestion for children
Brooks Rd, Street BA16 0PR, UK – 01458 443340
Like most primary schools, Brookside was run like a totalitarian state. Children were controlled using fear tactics, and a system of intimidation and indoctrination was perfected at every level of the hierarchy. Every Friday we were lined up, and forced to sit crossed legged in the hall. It was here where we were played christian hymns and forced to sing along; despite the religious nature of these songs, we soon came to realise that there was one far more powerful than any christian god: Claire Axton our headteacher. As we were marched into the hall she often played the main theme from The Deer Hunter. The sardonic choice of song was never missed by me or my peers: going to Brookside certainly felt like Vietnam The one sanctum of this hellish place was the playground. The humps, green grassy hills located at the back of the playground; near the willow tree, were maybe the best part. The school management sensed a excess of happiness, and took steps to purge it. Our grassy haven were replaced with flat repressive tarmac. Its black oily colour a reflection of our psyches. The school was divided into four houses. Each pupil was placed within one of these houses arbitrarily. This created unnecessary factionalism. The idea in the minds of our controllers was no doubt the concept of divide and rule. In conclusion I give this establishment four stars in the hope that my home will not be bugged, and I will not be silenced. 2008 Leaver

Butleigh Road, Street BA16 0YD, UK – 01458 442291
Attended 1980-1984 ... Polo Team...Best years of my young life.
Nowhere compares to Millfield. It is simply amazing in absolutely every respect. It has to be the all round best school to attend/work at in the Uk, arguably the world!
